KBOO's Memorial Tribute to David Lifton

Our beloved host of KBOO's long-running "A Jazz World" has unexpectedly passed.
This Wednesday, December 30, from noon to 4 p.m., the combined jazz shows of Nick Gefroh ("Jazz Lives") and myself will present a 4-hour musical memorial to David Lifton. We are inviting anyone who wishes to drop by, speak about David, and bring and play a tune that David would have liked, or that reminds that person of him. If you would like to inform out-of-town family and friends, we'll stream the show live at www.kboo/fm/listen and the show wil be in the KBOO archives for 13 days after broadcast. David was much more to KBOO that simply a program host. Since the 1970s, he has served KBOO as program director and volunteer coordinator, and was perhaps KBOO's all-time best pitcher-fund raiser - a true pillar of KBOO's 47 year history.
